Prometeon becomes Parma Calcio sponsor
The second tier of Italian football has recently attracted another major sponsorship deal from a global tyre brand.
Earlier this month it was announced that Pirelli-owned Prometeon Tyre Group had signed a multi-year partnership with Parma Calcio.
The country’s fourth most successful football club currently plys its trade in Serie B, Italy’s second division, which has been title sponsored by Indian tyre maker BKT since 2019; known as Serie BKT.
While every team’s jersey in the division dons the Serie BKT logo on its shoulder, Parma’s will now also bear the logo of Prometeon Tyre Group. PTG logos will also appear around Parma’s Ennio Tardini Stadium in northern Italy.

Roberto Righi, general manager of Prometeon Tyre Group said: “With this agreement we get involved with a sport that arouses the passions of millions of people worldwide, alongside a prestigious football club that has clear ambitions for the future.
“We will support Parma Calcio in a growth project that looks to the future and shares our values. The project is also consistent with the development path that Prometeon Tyre Group is currently undertaking.
“We firmly believe in this partnership and we are sure that it will help us to establish an even closer bond with our suppliers and customers, and also with our 8,000 and more employees worldwide.”
