Pirelli Cinturato P1 Verde wins Best Buy

Renowned consumer magazine Which? has named Pirelli’s Cinturato P1 Verde as “Best Buy”, offering the best all-round compromise between performance and value for money.

Which? is published by the Consumers’ Association: the largest consumer organisation in the United Kingdom, with more than a million worldwide subscribers to its magazines. Which? magazine was first published in 1957 and is respected as a global authority on all consumer matters.

The recent Which? test focussed on tyres for small to medium sized cars: a sector where Pirelli is represented with the Cinturato P1 Verde. This tyre is one of Pirelli’s newest products, bringing together the ecological characteristics of the Cinturato range with heritage of the range-topping P Zero family.

Which? tested the 14-inch Pirelli Cinturato P1 Verde (175/65 R14T) against a number of leading competitors, concluding that it “impressed in the dry and was good on wet roads.” The Pirelli tyre was judged best of all in dry braking tests, and was also acclaimed as “the quietest tyre from inside the car.” This is thanks to a specially-designed tread pattern aimed at noise reduction.

Cinturato P1 Verde was created to take full advantage of the latest materials, structures and tread pattern design in order to guarantee savings, respect for the environment, comfort and safety on all road surfaces.

Pirelli UK Managing Director Dominic Sandivasci said: “The reputation of Which? as a completely independent consumer magazine needs no introduction, which is why we are especially pleased with this latest accolade. Pirelli is well known for being the world leader in Ultra High Performance tyres, but this test result highlights the equally impressive qualities of our ecological tyres in smaller sizes, for the small to medium sized cars that make up a significant proportion of vehicles seen on British roads.”
Cinturato P1 Verde is available in sizes from 14 to 17 inches with speed ratings from T to V (190 to 240kph).
