Bridgestone names Shuichi Ishibashi new global CEO

Bridgestone has appointed Shuichi Ishibashi as global chief executive officer, replacing Masaaki Tsuya.

The tyre maker says that the change is subject to approval at Board of Directors meeting, which will be held after the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting in March 2020.

Shuichi Ishibashi joined the company in 1977. He has experience in all of the company’s tyre and diversified products business in the United States and Japan.
