Bridgestone gets prestigious Volvo quality award

Bridgestone has been awarded the Prestigious Volvo Cars Quality Excellence Award.

Superior quality comes from dedication to excellence and that is something both Bridgestone and Volvo Cars understand very well.

Bridgestone says it id delighted that its commitment to both quality and excellence has been recognised with an award from the Volvo Cars Quality -Excellence (VQE) programme.

Hiroyuki Osaki received the VQE Award on behalf of Bridgestone’s Poznan manufacturing plant in Poland on 22 October 2013. he said: “It is a great honour to receive this award on behalf of Bridgestone Poznan. The VQE Award is further recognition of our commitment to delivering the highest possible quality, safety and performance for all our customers and, ultimately, all road users. It is a wonderful achievement and I thank and congratulate all of our employees for making it possible.”

Bridgestone’s manufacturing site in Poznan is the first tyre manufacturing plant to receive the Volvo VQE Award and that, just 1 year after commencement of manufacturing tyres for Volvo Cars. An official awards ceremony was held at the Volvo Cars in Sweden on 18 December 2013.
