Bridgestone Blizzak 6 tops Auto Bild winter tyre test

The Bridgestone Blizzak 6 has taken first place in the Auto Bild sportscars 2025 winter tyre test.

Among 11 winter tyres tested by the German magazine in size 235/50 R19 on an Audi Q3 Sportback 45 TFSI quattro with 245 hp, Bridgestone’s flagship winter touring tyre achieved the top score in the snow traction category.

The Bridgestone Blizzak 6 demonstrated its strengths in other snow disciplines, delivering top marks in braking and traction – leading to test editors naming Bridgestone’s tyre the ‘snow expert’ and attesting to its “exemplary lateral grip on wintry roads”.

Bridgestone’s winter specialist also impressed in both wet and dry conditions “with balanced, high-quality performance”, according to testers.

For this outstanding performance, Bridgestone’s premium winter touring tyre was awarded the overall rating of “exemplary” (grade 1.3) and named test winner.

Launched in 2024 and designed for every winter road condition, the EV-ready Bridgestone Blizzak 6 is successor to the 23-test-winning Bridgestone Blizzak LM005.

According to independent TÜV SÜD tests, Bridgestone’s latest premium winter touring tyre is a top-rated tyre for snow braking and traction, and offers the shortest stopping distance on wet roads. Bridgestone’s premium winter touring tyre also delivers 32 per cent better mileage than its predecessor.
