Bridgestone back at Japfest with tyre safety checks
Bridgestone Ireland was back at Japfest 2024 to carry out free tyre safety checks for the drivers in attendance. Young male drivers are one of the highest demographics.
Bridgestone Ireland is continuing its campaign to encourage young drivers to check that their tyres are safe on a regular basis. Bridgestone was once again at JapFest in Mondello Park to check tyres of the motorists who came along to the event. The company handed out tyre safety literature and checked over 100 cars at the event.

“As I have said before, many of the drivers attending this kind of event are part of the demographic with the highest number of fatalities and serious injuries in road traffic accidents,” said Colm Conyngham, marketing and public relations manager, Bridgestone Ireland. “If their tyres are in good condition and well maintained, this is an important first step to staying safe on the road.”
Bridgestone is continuing its activities in a campaign entitled ‘Become a Bridgestone Road Safety Hero’, which is aimed at encouraging people to promote tyre safety among their family and friends. The campaign will use a tyre check postcard to emphasise how small the tyre contact patch is, and the importance of regular checks and maintenance.
