Bridgestone appoints new global CEO

Bridgestone Corporation’s board of directors have approved the appointment of Yasuhiro Morita as the company’s new global CEO and representative executive officer, effective 1st January, 2026.

He will succeed Shuichi Ishibashi, who will retire from the position at the end of the year and as member of the board when his term expires at Bridgestone’s annual shareholders meeting scheduled to take place next March.

Morita has been with Bridgestone since 1996, and is promoted to the role from executive vice president and representative executive officer.
