All Season UHP SUV tyre from Pirelli
The Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season is an ultra high performance (UHP) SUV product that is designed to perform in all conditions, even on light snow and has been developed for the premium and prestige segment. These tyres are designed to handle a variety of weather conditions from dry to wet, providing high levels of grip.
The Scorpion Zero All Season tyre features an asymmetric design with specific tread blocks in the shoulder area to enhance control and responsiveness in braking. The four longitudinal grooves on the tyre ensure effective water expulsion and great resistance to aquaplaning, delivering outstanding performance and safety on wet surfaces. Whilst the high sipe density of the Scorpion Zero All Season provides excellent grip and traction in wintery conditions, resulting in excellent year round performance.
The product’s reputation is so strong that it is being used as original equipment on SUV models belonging to premium and prestige car manufacturers such as Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo and Lamborghini.
An original equipment tyre is created using the ‘perfect fit’ philosophy, with around three years needed to take a tyre from initial design to the showrooms. Pirelli works in parallel with vehicle manufacturers to create tyres that are purpose-made for each model, enhancing the car’s dynamics and delivering the best performance, handling, and safety. This process of tyre development often results in the tyre featuring a manufacturer marking on the sidewall. The marking demonstrates that the tyre has been designed and developed alongside the vehicle manufacturer in order to maximise the vehicle’s performance.
Pirelli Noise Cancellation System
A number of Scorpion Zero All Season homologations are available with the Pirelli Noise Cancellation System (PNCS). This technology is designed to reduce perceived noise inside the car, derived from the interaction between the road surface and the tyre itself. Thanks to PNCS, road noise can be reduced significantly, whilst the driving experience can be enhanced. Tyres equipped with this technology can be recognised by special markings on the sidewall, which depict a speaker and soundwaves with a bar through them, next to the PNCS symbol.
