Verbraeken a world record holder

Falken Drift Team driver Lars Verbraeken has become a Guinness World Record holder after achieving a new speed record for drifting.  Driving his 503ps BMW E30 on Falken tyres, the Dutchman set the new record, achieving a speed of 111.59mph whilst keeping the car at a 45° angle for a distance of over 50 metres.

“I am delighted to hold the record as fastest drifter,” said Lars Verbraeken. “Falken’s high performance tyres helped me achieve total control of my BMW on track.”

Falken’s success in drifting extended to the most recent round of the British Drifting Championship. Held at Knockhill in Scotland on the 30thSeptember, Remmo Niezen from Falken’s European team made a guest appearance in the championship and ended up winning the headlining Super Pro Class.
