Marangoni partners with Austone Tires

Earlier in the summer, tyre manufacturer Prinx Chengshan Europe officially announced its partnership with Italian retreading specialist Marangoni. Now, the company has produced its first ever Ringtread for the tyre maker.

Showcased this week at the IAA Transportation show in Hanover, the Austone RTH155 Ringtread is based on best-selling ATH155 trailer tyre. With this, the two companies say they are making an optimised life cycle for a modern commercial vehicle tyre an accessible option.

The spliceless tread ring prefabricated by Marangoni is stress-free. When retreading, it adheres to the carcass without deforming the tread pattern. In contrast to retreading with tread sections, there are no butt-joints with Ringtread which reduces rolling resistance and gives slow, even wear. The RTH155 corresponds to the original tread pattern of the ATH155 trailer tyre.

As a complete package, the RTH155 combines the price and environmental benefits of retreads with the performance of new tyres from Austone Tires, according to Prinx Chengshan Europe. Size 385/65R22.5 is being exhibited at the IAA.

Elsewhere on the Prinx Chengshan Europe stand, the company is displaying the top nine tyres from its Austone and Fortune brands. Chief amongst this is of course the Austone ATH155 trailer tyre, used in the original equipment and replacement tyre segments, and exclusively available in Ireland through Euro Tyre Sales.

All nine truck and trailer tyres on show at the IAA can be regrooved and retreaded twice.
