Nokian Tyres in TIME Magazine’s top 100 most sustainable companies

Nokian Tyres has been included in TIME Magazine’s list of the World’s Most Sustainable Companies 2026, ranking 100th out of 750.

The annual ranking by TIME is compiled in collaboration with research firm Statista and evaluates thousands of companies worldwide.

The ranking criteria include verified sustainability commitments, such as UN Global Compact membership and greenhouse gas emission reduction targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative.

Performance in ratings by respected organisations, such as CDP and MSCI, was taken into account, and companies were assessed also for sustainable business practice, transparency, and environmental and social stewardship.

Paolo Pompei, president and CEO at Nokian Tyres, said: “This is a great acknowledgment of our long-term sustainability work and motivates us to keep improving. We want to enable drivers to make more sustainable tire choices without compromising on performance.

“Renewable and recycled materials and lower rolling resistance help cut tyre lifecycle emissions, while rigorously tested tyres improve grip and safety, especially in demanding weather conditions.”
