Mitas and Savatech’s Moto Programme to pursue a joint path

The newly created Mitas Motorcycle Business Unit will have its first public appearance at the international motorcycle exhibition, EICMA.

The foundations for the new business unit were laid in October 2012, when Savatech was acquired by ČGS HOLDING a.s., the parent company of Mitas. Savatech’s and Mitas’ motorcycle tyres units were integrated into Mitas Motorcycle Business Unit, and Savatech-made tyres will be gradually re-branded as Mitas. The first product of Mitas Moto is the new Sport Force motorcycle radial tyre for sport, naked and touring motorcycles.

“Mitas Motorcycle Business Unit will offer the widest possible range of two-wheel tyres under one brand,” said Ksenija Bitenc, Managing Director Mitas Moto. “The Sava trademark will be gradually replaced by the Mitas brand. Mitas Moto is a reliable and flexible partner that takes care of customer needs. We provide riders with high-quality two-wheel tyres that allow them to enjoy their ultimate motorcycling adventure,“ she added.

At the 71st International motorcycle exhibition EICMA, held in Milan, Italy, Mitas and Savatech will display the highlights of their unified range at stand M48 in hall 10. Besides the new Mitas Sport Force, visitors will have the chance to see other tyres from the Mitas Moto range such as scooter, off-road, cross, endure and on-road racing tyres.

“The Mitas Sport Force tyre line are the first radial motorcycle tyres made by Mitas. They are produced at the Savatech plant in Slovenia,” said Andrew Mabin, Mitas’ marketing and sales director and vice-chairman of the board.
