Kumho receives consecutive EcoVadis Gold medal

Kumho Tire has been recognised for its capabilities by achieving an EcoVadis Gold Medal for the second consecutive year in 2025.

EcoVadis conducts a comprehensive evaluation across four areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

In 2024, Kumho Tire received the Gold Medal, ranking in the top five per cent of around 150,000 companies worldwide participating in the evaluation.

Last year, the company was also highly recognised for strengthening its ethical management system and expanding the scope of data management.

Additionally, Kumho Tire received an overall ‘A grade’ in the ESG evaluation by the Korea ESG Standards Institute. It achieved the top integrated grade through management improvements such as establishing a human rights management system, setting diversity targets for employees, strengthening investment in information security, and conducting board evaluations.

Since 2022, Kumho Tire has participated in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and last year earned an ‘A-‘ grade in recognition of its water management capabilities. In the Supply Chain Engagement Assessment (SEA), Kumho Tire was selected for the highest ‘A List’, acknowledging its efforts in responding to climate change and its achievements in ESG management.

Jung Iltaek, CEO of Kumho Tire, said: “We are organically managing issue-specific goals and action plans in line with our ESG management strategy. We will strive to solidify the foundation for sustainable management and become a truly authentic global brand by advancing and internalizing ESG management.”
