Kumho OE for Skoda Enyaq and Elroq EVs

Kumho Tire has received original equipment (OE) approval from the Volkswagen Group to supply its Ecsta PS71 SUV tyre as standard on Skoda’s Enyaq and Elroq electric vehicle models.

Designed to meet the demands of electric SUVs, the Ecsta PS71 SUV will be supplied to Skoda in 235/55 R19 and 255/50 R19.

The pattern of Kumho’s SUV flagship product is closely related to that of the company’s Ecsta PS71 high-performance passenger car tyre, and features the High Dispersible Micro Silica (HDMS) and fifth generation Solution Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (S-SBR) that have been so effectively employed for the passenger car tyre’s tread compound.

The pattern’s handling on both dry and wet roads and the sporty and precise steering that also results have been much praised by consumers and professional testers alike.

The SUV version of the Ecsta PS71 is available in around 40 sizes; including several in the increasingly popular 21- and 22-inch bracket.

Having succeeded Kumho’s mainstream on-road 4×4 product, the Crugen HP91, the Ecsta PS71 SUV pattern meets the ever increasing demand for general use 4x4s to ride and perform like their passenger car counterparts.
