Battlax Adventure A41 OE on BMW R1200GS

Bridgestone has launched the Battlax Adventure A41, a motorcycle tyre that will also be fitted as original equipment on the iconic BMW R1200GS and BMW R1200GS Adventure motorcycles.

Bridgestone developed the Battlax Adventure A41 with adventure in mind. They wanted to create a tyre that would instil complete confidence and encourage riders to pursue adventure wherever it was to be found. ‘The A41 has been designed for all riding conditions,’ explains Nico Thuy, Head of Motorcycle Europe, Bridgestone EMEA. ‘It’s a tyre to make your travel, whatever the weather conditions, and enjoy an undefinable experience’.

This all-round performance has been made possible by elements of the design. Engineers used Bridgestone’s Mono Spiral Belt technology to reduce the weight of the tyres, maximise shock absorption and improve the riding comfort. The new pattern design featuring large blocks in the centre of the rear tyre and a low SEA/LAND ratio at the centre of the front tyre, ensuring stability even at high speed in fully laden conditions. As well as the superior stability, the new pattern also delivers more inspiring traction on straights and through corners without sacrificing anything on wear life.

Wanting to boost riding confidence in wet conditions, Bridgestone maximised water drainage by increasing the SEA/LAND ratio at the shoulders of the tyre.

As an all-round, highly performance tyre with excellent stability, Bridgestone is extremely satisfied with the Battlax Adventure A41. But they aren’t the only ones: BMW Motorrad approved the A41 as original equipment fitment on the iconic R1200GS and R1200GS Adventure.
