Avon showcasing high performance products at Essen Motor Show

Avon Tyres is showcasing its high performance product range at this year’s Essen Motor Show, from November 30 to December 8.

Avon has a rich history in motorsport, having set up a division dedicated to racing in 1950. From Formula 1 to endurance racing, and modern to classic competition, the company manufactures tyres for a variety of applications. Several cars on display at the Essen Motor Show are equipped with Avon tyres, including a Jägermeister Kremer Porsche 935 K3, a Gulf Ford GT40 and a Momo Gebhardt C88.

Avon is also part of a special display with the Wheels Company, showcasing Avon ZZS and ZV7 tyres. Bridging the gap between the road and the track, the ZZS is the tyre of choice for several performance vehicle manufacturers, such as Caterham. Meanwhile, the ZV7 boasts a potent combination of performance and safety, and is ‘A’ rated for wet grip – the highest EU label grade. Headlining the stand, the ZV7 is fitted to a Hyundai i30 Fastback N.
