Bridgestone Ireland supports Blood Bikes
Bridgestone Ireland has presented tyres to its local “Blood Bike” volunteer group.
Blood Bikes are on standby 24/7 to transfer blood from one hospital to another in emergency situations. They are not funded by government but supplement the state system adding vital assistance when specific blood types may need to be transferred, mostly out of hours. Bridgestone supported the local Cu Chulainn Blood Bikes who cover the North East Region including Monaghan, Cavan, Louth and Meath.

Bridgestone has presented the group with Weather Control A005 for a Ford Kuga and a Battlax Sports Touring T30 for its Yamaha FJR 1300. The Blood Bike volunteers will be providing Bridgestone with feedback on tyre performance in what will be very challenging conditions.
“Blood Bike volunteers are out in all-weather on varying road conditions and mostly at night time. They need to have vehicles and equipment that will keep them safe and won’t let them down; it was a perfect fit for Bridgestone and we are happy to be able to support them,” says Colm Conyngham, Marketing Manager, Bridgestone Ireland.
