Yokohama OE for new Porsche Cayenne Electric

Yokohama Rubber has begun supplying its Advan Sport EV A/S V35 tyres as original equipment (OE) to Porsche for its Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric SUV models. The tyre sizes are 255/55R20 110V for the front and 305/45R20 116V for the rear.

The Advan Sport EV A/S V35 is an ultra-high-performance all-season tyre developed for premium EVs that is designed to handle driving in a wide range of road conditions and meets the M+S (Mud & Snow) standard.

Based on the Advan V35 all-season tyre that was installed on the previous-generation Cayenne, this tyre achieves a level of low electricity consumption and quietness appropriate for premium EVs.

The sidewall of the Advan Sport EV A/S V35 bears Yokohama Rubber’s proprietary “E+” mark to indicate that it has special qualities suitable for electrified vehicles.

The tyres installed on the new Porsche Cayenne electric models were co-developed with Porsche and bear the “NG0” mark on their sidewalls, indicating Porsche’s approval.

They use a special compound that maintains low rolling resistance while achieving a high-level balance of dry and wet grip as well as snow performance.

In addition, handling stability has been enhanced through optimisation of belt cover rigidity and tread contact area.
