Tyre trade meeting in Portlaoise last night

An open tyre trade information meeting took place last night in Portlaoise. There was just one item on the agenda – a proposed Irish Tyre Wholesalers and Retailers Association (ITWRA) waste management scheme along the lines of that operated in the UK. 

Attended by up to 70 people from the tyre industry, primarily retailers, the meeting heard a comparison presented between the proposed Repak scheme and an alternative lower cost one proposed by the ITWRA, with the main presentation given by Eamon Daly.
