Tyre trade gets credit card scam warning

The tyre trade has been warned to be on alert for a credit card scammer, who is using stolen credit cards to purchase workshop equipment.

A well-known workshop equipment supplier has informed TyreTrade.ie that a credit card scammer using the name “Andrew Ion” has attempted to buy thousands of Euro worth of equipment using stolen credit cards.

The company rumbled the scam before any equipment was dispatched, and is now warning other suppliers to be on the alert.
