Tyre trade asked to vote in Junk Kouture Recycled Fashion Competition
The tyre trade is being asked to cast a vote for a dress made from inner car tubes, which is in the running for a design award in the Junk Kouture Recycled Fashion Competition, sponsored by Bank of Ireland.

Becarra Bandini is a dress designed and made by TY students Anna Coll, Úna Togher and Rachel Barrette from St.Josephs secondary school Castlebar. Una is the daughter of well-known tyre retailer, Joe Togher.
The dress was made to show off strong manual labour and the power of women. Many prints were cut out of inner car tubes by using craft knives and the dress has been strongly put together.
