For the past twenty years or so, Information Technology (IT) has played an increasingly important role in the Tyre and Fast Fit industry. Retailers and wholesalers now rely on meaningful and accurate information to aid point of sale, stock control,
marketing and administration functions – notwithstanding the growing reliance on Internet services.

Over the past two decades, Devon based TEAM Systems has emerged as one of the leading IT service providers in the UK and Irish tyre industry with a growing base of retailers and wholesalers regarding the company as an essential part of their daily sales operation.

Now TEAM has reached yet another ‘milestone’ by achieving Diamond status in terms of IT experience with a number of personnel reaching a combined total of 60 years’ service with the company.

Programmers Rob Northcott and Glyn Winstone have been with TEAM for twelve and ten years respectively whilst Customer Support Manager, Matt Bateman has completed eight years’

service and the support and installation engineers Alex ‘B’and Alex ‘G’ clock up ten years between them. Couple this with Managing Director, Steve Greatrex’s twenty years within the industry and TEAM can now provide six decades of valuable experience to its customer base.

Steve launched the Tyre & Exhaust Automotive Management System (TEAM) to the market at the Brityrex exhibition in 1992 and has supported every show since then. The company has enjoyed steady growth since then, by offering a product and service that has evolved with their customer’s requests and changes within the industry. This year has been a record year and their order book is looking extremely healthy for next year and despite the hard economic situation Ireland is proving to be an important part of their growth. This month TEAM are installing no less than 8 new locations in Ireland – Some are long established businesses.

Steve Greatrex adds, “Quality services and support to the tyre industry has always been the ultimate objective of TEAM and now we are able to further endorse our product and service portfolio – This year has seen the addition of many new features within the software including Tyre Labelling information, SAGE accounts import and additional reporting, marketing / CRM tools.
