Simon Tidmarsh joins Kings Road Tyres

The Kings Road Tyres Group has confirmed the appointment of Simon Tidmarsh as Commercial Director-Group, following the acquisition of Lincolnshire based specialist tyre wholesaler, Totrax Ltd.

Simon joins the senior management team to head up the Group’s sales operations, bringing with him extensive knowledge of the UK tyre industry, having worked in previous roles for Kennings Tyres, ATS Euromaster, Solideal UK and, most recently, Totrax.

Welcoming Simon to KRT, Group Managing Director Adrian Bader said: “Simon will be a great addition to the team and will play a key role in developing sales throughout the Group in line with our expansion plans. His particular knowledge and expertise in niche market areas such as pneumatic and solid industrial tyres, OTR and special purpose tyre and wheel assemblies, further strengthens our position in the market place.”

Simon, who will be based at KRT’s head office in Hayes, commented: “I am delighted to be joining KRT at such an exciting time in the company’s development. The acquisition of Totrax provides additional expertise in the industrial and OTR market and complements KRT’s established position in the truck, agricultural and PCR sectors.”

The Totrax business, which concentrates on specialist tyre, wheel, axle and undergear products and service, will be incorporated into KRT’s wholesale operation in Boston.
The company is the exclusive UK distributor for Emrald Greckster industrial tyres and Essieux Bourgogne axle systems, arrangement that will now be taken on by KRT.
