Prinx Chengshan breaks ground on new Malaysia factory
Prinx Chengshan has commenced construction of its new tyre manufacturing plant in Malaysia, following a recent groundbreaking ceremony at the Kedah Rubber City site.

The new 102-acre site will feature two production facilities for both the Prinx and Fortune brands — one for Passenger/Light Truck (PLT) and one for Truck/Bus Radial (TBR).
Together with its Thailand plant, Prinx Chengshan said the new facility will form a “twin-star” production layout, enhancing global capacity and building a more resilient supply chain.
The first tyres are planned to roll out in October 2026, at which point the factory is expected have an annual production capacity of six million passenger car tyres and 600,000 commercial vehicle tyres.
Part of a $300 million investment, Prinx Chengshan plans to use the Malaysia to build a supply chain network across ASEAN and expand its reach into the Indo-Pacific region. It will also serve customers in the United States and Canada markets.
