Nokian Tyres launches industry-first smart tyre tech with load-sensing
Nokian Tyres has launched the Intuitu 2.0, a new smart tyre technology featuring smart pressure assistant with load-sensing.
The innovation is developed for Nokian Tyres Soil King VF tractor tyres and is said to provide agricultural professionals with a unique way to make the most out of their machines while maximising productivity, lowering fuel consumption, protecting soil and extending tyre life.

Nokian Tyres says its Intuitu 2.0 Smart Pressure Assistant is a unique smart tyre technology that uses built-in sensors inside the tyres to calculate the tractor’s actual operating weight and usage conditions.
Based on this data, it provides tyre pressure recommendations directly to the user via a mobile application.
Usually, this time-consuming process requires detailed calculations and costly equipment, but Nokian claims the Intuitu 2.0 offers the data for the user in a fast and simple way.
Correct tyre pressures minimise soil compaction and help agricultural professionals make the most out of their equipment, making work more efficient, lowering operating costs and extending tyre life.
“Our vision is to lead the world to drive smarter,” said Paolo Pompei, president and CEO of Nokian Tyres. “By introducing Nokian Tyres Intuitu 2.0, we are offering agricultural professionals a groundbreaking technology that delivers clear, practical benefits to improve their daily work. This innovation takes Nokian Tyres another step closer to making that vision a reality.”
In September, Nokian Tyres Intuitu 2.0 received the Silver Medal of the Agritechnica Innovation Award selected by an independent jury of experts and presented by the German Agricultural Society DLG. The recognition is viewed as one of the most prestigious in the agricultural field.
The Intuitu is Nokian Tyres’ first commercial sensor technology adaptation. It was introduced in 2019, and since then developed further to give the users even more benefits for their daily work.
