Mitas receives Best Supplier award from Carraro Agritalia

Italian tractor maker Carraro Agritalia, has awarded Mitas one of the three “Best 2012 Overall Suppliers” Awards during an event held in Rovigo, Itlay on May 15. Carraro Agritalia, headquartered in Rovigo, is the agricultural division of Carraro Group.

“Awarding tyre makers is rare,” said Stan Vriends, Carraro Agritalia’s CEO. “Mitas received the award from among all the suppliers and not just in the tyre category. We at Carraro Agritalia are glad to recognise Mitas since the company has accomplished a massive switch of tyres supplied to Agritalia’s most important tractor line, all that without affecting high levels of performance while maintaining product quality and delivery lead time. Agritalia dealers and users have accepted the change without any hesitation because the transition went smoothly as it has been well planned in advance,” Vriends added.

Domenico Cosacco received the award o behalf of Mitas from Stan Vriends and Federico Ranieri, the Carraro Agritalia purchasing director.

“Mitas is dedicated to farming,” said Andrew Mabin, Mitas’ sales and marketing director. About 71 percent of Mitas 2012 revenues come from agricultural tyre sales. “Agritalia has recognised Mitas’ commitment to make durable and reliable tyres.”
