Mitas offering new sizes of CHO harvester tire
Mitas will unveil a range extension of CHO (Cyclic Harvesting Operation) tyres at Agritechnica 2013, which takes place in Hanover, from November 12 to 16. Mitas will launch five new sizes of CHO tyres under the Continental and Mitas brands.
“The range extension of CHO tyres proves these tyres are a favourite choice of combine harvester producers,” said Andrew Mabin, Mitas sales and marketing director. And he added: “Mitas now offers six sizes of CHO tyres on worldwide markets under the Mitas and Continental brands.”
Here are the range of five new Mitas’ CHO tyres due at Agritechnica are in sizes:
900/70R32 CHO 182A8/179B; 680/85R32 CHO 178A8/175B; 800/70R38 CHO 178D/181A8; 900/60R32 CHO 176A8/173B; and 900/60R38 CHO 178D/181A; with the current size (800/70R32 CHO 175A8/172B) already available.
Mitas says that the CHO was designed as extremely powerful tyres for large combine harvesters that can handle higher maximum loads than more conventional tyres in this segment.
Another spokesman said that the CHO range was designed to be capable of carrying greater load at a lower tyre pressure. It is also designed to handle maximum load capacity; to work at minimum inflation pressure during cyclic harvest operation; to help deliver good driving stability in road application; to fit standard rims; to reduce soil compaction with a larger footprint; and to fulfill all legal requirements (limited vehicle width).
