With a factory supported effort at the Isle of Man TT, North West 200 and Metzeler Ulster GP, these tyres were developed by Metzeler riders such as Guy Martin, William Dunlop and Gary Johnson.

Launched last year the Sportec™ M7 RR drew International plaudits winning comparison tests across Europe, including being named ‘Best Supersport Tyre’ in the renowned Motorrad German publication and ‘Best Road Tyre’ by the UK’s Performance Bikes magazine.

The new for 2015 Racetec™ RR goes one step further being developed as a racing tyre suitable for fast road use, having showed its pedigree as a prototype winning a historic Supersport TT victory for Triumph at the hands of Gary Johnson.

Available in three compounds; K1 and K2 give soft and soft/medium qualities for racing, whilst the more durable K3 variation offers road riders the ultimate in street use performance, whilst still being highly capable for trackdays.

At the other end of the biking spectrum Metzeler have unveiled the Sportec™ Klassik line of tyres, designed for the popular Classic sector.

Developed for machines from the 1970s onward, this new range remains true to the styling of the era but crucially offers latest generation tyre performance. Owners of these machines can now have ‘better than new’ levels of dry and wet grip, stability at speed and under braking.

Applications include options for such well known machines as the BMW ‘R’ range, Honda CB/CBX/VF/VFR, Kawasaki Z and GPZ, Suzuki GS, Yamaha XS and XJ, and Moto Guzzi models.
