Laufenn G Fit 4S rated ‘good’ in Auto Bild all-season test

Hankook’s second brand Laufenn, was awarded an overall score of ‘good’ in the big Auto Bild all-season tyre test of the popular 225/40 R 18 size for sporty compact models.

In the demanding comparison of 30 all-season tyres, the Laufenn G Fit 4S tyre made it through to the final 15 best treads, putting on an impressive show with balanced performance.

The Laufenn G Fit 4S did particularly well when it came to safety-related braking performance in wet and snowy road conditions, placing ahead of some well-known competitors in the top five. The tyre also showed excellent handling on wet surfaces and impressed on the wet circular track, with the second-fastest average speed and fastest lap time.

Auto Bild also praised the dynamic qualities of the all-season tyre from Laufenn with respect to dry handling where it placed fourth.

The Laufenn G Fit 4S also achieved good marks in the cost category, where the tyre was among the three best in the test panel with a very good ratio of price and predicted mileage of just 6.01 euros (5.22 pounds) per 1,000 kilometres (621 miles).

The final conclusion of the jury was that the Laufenn G Fit 4S is a “specialist in wet conditions offering impressive price-performance ratio”.

In the final ranking, the all-rounder came 10th out of 30 candidates, demonstrating Laufenn’s high product standards.
