Kingswinford Tyres chooses Hunter

As the owner of Kingswinford Tyres, a tyre and wheel alignment business that has been thriving for 34 years, Andrew Page has witnessed first hand the transformative impact that high-quality equipment can have on operations.

The Tyre Trade Journal recently reached out to discuss this in more detail with Page, who was keen to share his experience of Hunter products, particularly the Hunter Hawkeye alignment system and the Road Force Elite balancer, which have been pivotal in the success of his business.

Early Success
“When I first decided to invest in the Hunter Hawkeye system approximately 11 years ago, I was looking to improve accuracy in our alignments, which was essential for our growing business. The initial success was phenomenal and within 18 months we had to purchase a second alignment system due to overwhelming demand. We now average around 100 alignments a week, and we sell between 700 to 800 tyres weekly. The growth has been remarkable, our revenue has nearly doubled from £1.5 million to £3.2 million in just five years,” Page explained.

Building Trust
One of the striking aspects of the business model is the customer trust that Andrew and his team have built over the years.

Page explained the importance of being a customer focused business. “We are known for our friendly service and efficiency. Customers often arrive early in the morning, with several cars waiting for alignment six days a week. This reputation has been reinforced through our active social media presence, where we showcase our commitment to quality and service. I proudly state that we are the only tyre centre in the area equipped with a Hunter Force machine, which is a unique selling point that attracts discerning customers.”

Simple to Use
In terms of the equipment itself, the Hunter systems are incredibly user-friendly and reliable. The printouts provided by the aligner are straightforward.

Page elaborated: “My team appreciates the accuracy of the Hunter systems, and we often conduct side-by-side comparisons to demonstrate their reliability. This level of transparency has built a strong foundation of trust with our clients.”

Hunter Balance: A Unique Point of Difference
With regards to the Road Force Elite there was one notable case involving a Polestar vehicle that had been to multiple locations for balancing without the problem being addressed. “After using the Road Force Elite, the customer returned extremely happy, saying that the vehicle felt just like new again”. This type of feedback underscores the effectiveness of Hunter equipment in solving complex issues that other systems could not, Andrew stated.

Page is delighted with his investment in Hunter technology, despite initial hesitations. He said: “Despite initial hesitations regarding the investment, I can now definitely say that the Hunter products have paid for themselves many times over. I believe it took us approximately 14 months to recoup the initial investment, which is a testament to their efficiency and effectiveness. The equipment is not only a necessity for our operations; it has become an integral part of our business identity.”
