Kerr’s Tyres Group receives investment from Chiltern Capital
Kerr’s Tyres Group has received a “significant investment” from London-based investor, Chiltern Capital which the autocentre group says will serve as a springboard for its expansion across Ireland and the UK.
Norman Kerr, founder and chief executive of Kerr’s Tyres Group, said the investment from Chiltern Capital will “give us the support we need to rapidly expand our proven business model not just in Ireland, but right across the UK”.
“The focus on our team, who provide expert advice and high-quality customer service in an industry which has previously had a poor reputation means we are able to deliver a quality product and service for all our customers. This has truly separated us from our competition,” he added.
Kerr noted that the company also aims to build on its reputation for “excellent customer service, expert advice, and premium services offered at competitive prices”.
He also confirmed that Andy Randall will join the board as chair.
Ben Robinson, investment director at Chiltern Capital, commented: “Chiltern has expertise and experience in the automotive aftermarket and helping businesses enhance their service programmes to reach a broader customer base.
“From the day we met Kerrs, it was clear that the business has consistently delivered exceptional service, driven by a talented team with a strong desire to succeed and we knew we wanted to be part of their journey.
“We are excited to work with Norman and the team over the coming years to help develop and deliver their vision to be the best in this sector.”
