Heffernan Tyres to distribute GRI agriculture tyres in ROI

Sri Lanka-based Global Rubber Industries (GRI) has expanded its footprint in the Irish agricultural market, by partnering with leading tyre distributor, Heffernan Tyres.

Under this new collaboration, Heffernan Tyres will represent and distribute GRI’s agriculture tyres within the Republic of Ireland, including its flagship Green XLR Earth Series — said to have been designed for superior performance, energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact.

The announcement comes as Heffernan Tyres has been named a finalist in the 2025 Repak Resource Awards, under the ‘Tyre Champion’ category, the winners of which will be announced at an awards ceremony tonight in Dublin.

“Heffernan’s deep market knowledge and strong commitment to sustainability make them an ideal partner for GRI as we expand our presence in Europe,” said Barry Guildford, global commercial director of GRI.

“Their recent nomination for the Repak Resource Award reflects the very values we stand for — innovation, responsibility, and respect for the environment,” he added.

GRI is recognised globally for its strong focus on sustainability and innovation in the specialty tyre segment.

GRI claims its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Sri Lanka operate using solar energy and adhere to ISO standards.
