Fisher takes Irish Tarmac lead after more maximum points with Pirelli

Pirelli driver Alastair Fisher has moved into the lead of the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship following his Circuit of Ireland win with another maximum points haul on the Rally of the Lakes.

Fisher, sponsored by Modern Tyres finished second overall on the Killarney event and first of those eligible for championship points. He is now six points ahead of Sam Moffett, who took third on the rally in his similarly Pirelli-equipped Ford Fiesta R5.

Former leader Josh Moffett is now four points behind his brother after crashing out in Killarney, with Keith Cronin just 2.5 points further back in a close title fight, having suffered mechanical woes on his Citroen DS3 R5.

Just 12.5 points cover the top five heading onto round five of seven, the Donegal International Rally on June 17-19.
