Derbyshire officer stops driver on school run with bubble tyre

A Derby Public Protection Officer recently stopped a motorist on a school run with dangerous external bulges on one of their tyres.

Whilst on patrol, the officer noticed the strange bubble like pattern on the front tyre and rightly stopped the motorist and took the car off the road. The driver was urged to bring the car into a nearby garage to have the tyre replaced.

These external bulges are caused when cords inside the tyre get destroyed through forceful impact with objects on the road.
