Cinturato P7 Blue praised by Scandinavian consumers
Topten Sweden, one of the most prestigious Swedish consumer websites, has selected the Pirelli Cinturato P7 Blue as the best tyre on the market when it comes to energy efficiency.
Topten is an online service aimed at increasing consumer awareness about energy saving, which is present throughout 17 countries in Europe as well as in China and the United States. Topten informs consumers about benchmark products in terms of energy efficiency and saving, via a transparent and independent assessment of goods and services.
The Swedish Topten website (http://www.toptensverige.se) has carefully analysed the tyre market and identified the Cinturato P7 Blue as the tyre with the greatest rolling resistance, as well as the best levels of wet grip and therefore safety, while maintaining a low level of external noise. Topten uses an energy rating system from ‘A’ to ‘G’ to grade products while external noise is measured in decibels.
The latest product from Pirelli’s Cinturato family, the P7 Blue, offers 23% less rolling resistance compared to a tyre in the ‘C’ category, using less fuel and emitting fewer noxious emissions. For example, a saloon car on P7 Blue tyres that covers 15,000 kilometres per year uses 5.1% less fuel, equivalent to 52 litres, and reduces CO2 emissions by 123.5 kilograms.
Furthermore the Cinturato P7 Blue guarantees reduced wet braking distances by 9% compared to a tyre in the same segment with a ‘B’ rating (in wet braking). In comparative tests carried out by the TÜV SÜD certification body, P7 Blue reduces braking distances from 80kph by 2.6 metres compared to a tyre classified with a ‘B’ rating.
