Bridgestone European’s latest tyre survey shows that  more than six out of 10 (63 per cent) of motorists drive on under-inflated tyres and almost one in five have at least one tyre worn down below the EU legal minimum tread depth.

More than six out of 10 European motorists are driving on under-inflated tyres and almost 20 per cent have at least one tyre worn down below the EU legal minimum tread depth, a survey by Bridgestone has found. Ferrari has selected Bridgestone as one of its original equipment suppliers of tyres for the FF four-wheel drive sports car. Supplies of the Potenza S001 sport tyres to the Maranello manufacturer started at the end of 2011.

Bridgestone has been selected as an OE tyre supplier by PSA Peugeot Citroën for the new Peugeot 208. Bridgestone EP25 in size 185/65R15 88T will be the predominant tyre on Peugeot 208 models with 15-inch rims and Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tyres in size 205/45R17 88V will be the only tyre on 17-inch wheels.

The Bridgestone tyre manufacturing plant in Bari, Italy, celebrated 50 years of operations with an open day for employees and more than 700 attendees on May 1.
