Bridgestone Europe sustainability visit to Ireland
A number of key members of Bridgestone Europe’s sustainability team visited Ireland recently with visits to United Tyres in Donnybrook, Dublin Bus and the Rediscovery Centre (The National Centre for the Circular Economy) in Ballymun.
The aim of the visits was to look at best practice in a number of areas of tyre sustainability, including retail, bus fleets and tyre retreading.

Bridgestone said the visit may lead to future partnership projects around sustainability in Ireland.
“We were delighted to have members of our sustainability team here, looking at learning from best practice in Ireland, and possible partnerships to promote the circular economy for tyres,” said Colm Conyngham, marketing and public relations manager, Bridgestone Ireland.
One of the visiting members, Brian Mahon, is originally from Dublin, and has been working for Bridgestone for over 30 years. Mahon is now part of a Bridgestone team across EMEA and Americas looking at creating customer value from sustainable tyre product and service offerings.
