Bosch launches new ADAS calibration device
Bosch has launched its new multi-brand calibration device for workshop professionals to adjust and precisely calibrate sensors of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), the DAS 3000.

The DAS 300 features revised navigation including user instructions and user friendly screen displays. It has new positioning software for more efficient processes and intuitive operation. In addition, digital values like distance, yaw angle and lateral displacement are displayed.
Bosch says its new ADAS calibration unit has new wheel clamps which can be attached in seconds and deliver maximum accuracy. Meanwhile the robust frame with a socket for the attachment of the reference board and a circular spirit level provide perfect centreing on the wheel. It has two holding arms for fixing to the upper part of the wheel.
The unit has a cross bar with sliding cylinder adjustable for accurate mounting on all wheel and tyre combinations. It supports rim sizes from 14 to 24 inch.
The DAS 300 also features a new bumper plate for for measuring the distance to the bumper, which is mounted on the front part of the calibration frame. It offers a total height of 800 mm.
The bumper plate is covered with soft rubber elements to be positioned directly on the bumper or at the front of the vehicle. It is stored on the side of the DAS 3000 trolley.
The unit can also printout documents which show the correct alignment of the calibration device.
Bosch says its new unit has been designed for alignment processes on levelled ground but is also practical on surface-mounted lifts.
The DAS 300 has increased efficiency in front camera calibration of Kia/Hyundai, Toyota, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz and Opel. It is also perfectly applicable for front radar calibration of VAG, BMW and Nissan, Bosch says.
