Apollo wins “Tire Manufacturer of the Year” Award

Apollo has picked up the coveted “Tire Manufacturer of the Year” Award at the Tire Technology Expo, in Cologne, Germany this week.

Apollo’s continued expansion in the European market has been underpinned by the launch of key products like the Aspire 4G, its first high-performance summer tyre for Europe, and the inauguration of a new technical center in Enschede, the Netherlands, where the company’s worldwide passenger-car R&D is combined for the first time.

Elsewhere it won an Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Award for its ongoing work towards awareness and prevention of HIV-AIDS among its employees, business partners and communities. On a financial level, its impressive growth continued. In the year 2011-12, revenue passed US$2.5 billion for the first time.
