Agrigear partners ITIA for Road Safety Week 2025

Agrigear Tyre and Wheel Specialists reports that its partnership with the Irish Tyre Industry Association (ITIA) for Road Safety Week 2025 was a tremendous success.

The initiative brought together the ITIA, Road Safety Authority (RSA), and An Garda Síochána to raise awareness about road safety across Ireland.

Agrigear offered free tyre safety checks throughout the week (6th-12th October), and said there was an overwhelming response from its customers, many of whom were surprised to learn about the impact of proper tyre maintenance on both safety and fuel economy.

With over 180,000 cars failing the NCT last year due to tyre issues, this focus on tyre safety was both timely and necessary.

Agrigear’s team of expert technicians conducted numerous inspections throughout the week, identifying and addressing potential safety issues before they could lead to accidents or breakdowns. Several vehicles were found with significantly underinflated tyres.

Its technicians also identified and addressed numerous instances of concerning tyre wear, while customers appreciated learning about the connection between tyre condition and fuel efficiency.

Agrigear reminds drivers that tyre safety isn’t just for one week of the year – it is an ongoing responsibility.
