Affordable performance from Davanti Tyres

High-performance tyres enhance the driving experience by providing superior control and traction, whilst optimising the capabilities of a performance car. For those seeking an affordable yet effective ultra-high-performance (UHP) option, Davanti Tyres offers a range of UHP tyres designed to help drivers maximise their vehicle’s potential.

Davanti is a proud partner of the AIA (Autódromo Internacional do Algarve) Racing School in Portugal, which recently announced it will host Formula 1 in the 2027 and 2028 seasons. Davanti’s UHP tyres – including its flagship product, Protoura Sport – are pushed to the limit on the AIA track at speeds of more than 250 km/h.

Protoura Sport
The quality design of the Protoura Sport offers motorists the ability and the drive to excel, whatever the destination. It balances the elements of both style and strength to achieve a tyre which is both distinctive in its sports performance, and professional in its technical capabilities. Key features of the design which enable such confidence behind the wheel include:

  • Maximised contact patch: The solid continuous centre rib transfers cornering forces to the tyre structure and maximises contact with the road.
  • Hydro-dynamic dimples: The rhombus-shaped reliefs disrupt flow closest to the tyre surface, resulting in reduced drag and more efficient water evacuation.
  • Modified outer channels: To minimise road noise output, the Protoura Sport’s outer channels have been engineered with constricted notches.
  • Ribbed and serrated block edges: Under longitudinal force, ribbed and serrated block edges bite into the road and provide an efficiently-focused braking force.
  • Innovative trapezoid projections: The inner groove also features innovative trapezoid projections that create low-pressure zones and aid the flow of water from the inner groove.

Combining proven performance with the latest innovation, Protoura Sport is now also available with the brand new NoiseGuard and DavantiSeal technologies.

The NoiseGuard technology effectively lowers the noise inside the vehicle, by absorbing the vibrations generated in the tyre structure. A specially-designed polyurethane foam dampens noise resonance, resulting in a more comfortable environment for the vehicle’s driver and passengers.

DavantiSeal protects drivers from unforeseen roadside callouts by protecting the tyre from air pressure loss as a result of a puncture. The self-sealing technology surrounds the object perforating the tyre and fills the hole to maintain pressure and prevent air loss, allowing drivers to keep on moving.

Protoura Race
For those drivers who like to put their car through its paces on a racing circuit, Davanti Tyres’ developed its first track tyre, the Protoura Race. The latest addition to Davanti’s performance tyre range has been engineered to win, designed to provide unbeatable capability on the track. Its road legal status also makes journeying to and from the track easy.

Its semi-slick tread design provides a combination of excellent dry grip and control in the wet without compromising speed, making it a successful formula to outpace the ordinary. Key features of Protoura Race, which provide drivers with the power and handling to achieve podium results, include:

  • Directional tread pattern to provide superior control in wet weather conditions.
  • Enhanced carcass strength to provide direct feedback to the driver and control under high cornering forces experienced on race tracks.
  • New compound with added grip for greater braking and acceleration power.
  • Semi-slick tread design which allows the tyre to be driven from the track to the road.

Excitingly for Protoura Race, Davanti recently announced a three-year deal with FEDAK (Ecuadorian Automobile and Karting Federation), where it will be the tyre supplier for the National Circuit Championship of Ecuador. The agreement has been led by Davanti’s Ecuadorian customer, Llantas 247, making Protoura Race the official tyre for the National Championship – meaning drivers across all applicable categories will drive on Davanti Protoura Race tyres.

Closer to home, Protoura Race is the control tyre for the Mini Challenge Clubsport and the Swift Sport Challenge, as well as the newly announced Mini Rally Challenge for 2026.

Ecoura
Most recently added to Davanti Tyres’ portfolio in 2025, is the Ecoura. This latest addition is Davanti’s next generation HP tyre, combining enhanced comfort, low noise and wet weather performance.

The Ecoura has been designed for drivers who demand more from their vehicle’s performance, whether they are cruising the motorway or navigating city streets. This quiet, high-performance tyre also boasts superior ride comfort and stability.

Key design features that enable the Ecoura to provide leading performance whilst being an efficient alternative to other high-performance tyres on the market, include:

  • Enhanced ride comfort & noise reduction: The varying tread block pitch works to reduce noise by removing resonant frequencies for a quieter, more comfortable drive. Compartmentalising grooves work together to minimise and help contain noise.
  • Wet grip & aquaplaning resistance: Deep circumferential grooves facilitate efficient water evacuation to maximise traction in wet conditions.
  • Exceptional traction in all conditions: Engineered for high levels of straight line and cornering traction on both wet and dry surfaces.
  • Optimised, lightweight design: Optimised, lightweight design reduces material consumption and waste for greater efficiency.

Davanti Tyres CEO, Peter Cross, commented: “Our range of UHP tyres have been designed and manufactured as part of the next generation of high-performance tyres for our customers. With our leading research and development process, the tyres maximise performance while delivering control, grip and comfort on the road.

“As we continue to explore various partnerships with our UHP tyres, we’re excited to see more of these on race circuits around the world, too.”

Davanti says it is a great example – as the UK’s leading mid-range tyre brand – of how UHP tyres can offer extraordinary performance, at an affordable price.
