ContiWinterContact TS 850 tops winter tyre test

Continental’s ContiWinterContact TS 850 tyre has achieved the highest result in yet another test conducted by a renowned specialist magazine, with AutoBild sportscars (issue 11/13) rating it “exemplary.”

A total of nine winter tyre models of size 225/50 R 17 were tested. The products came from European, Asian, and American manufacturers.

The assessment of the premium winter tyres for compact to upper medium-sized vehicles was extremely positive: “Winter tyres with good properties in terms of driving dynamics under all weather conditions, high lateral stability and short braking distances on snowy and dry roads, fuel-saving rolling resistance, and a high level of comfort,” is the experts’ verdict. In addition to its extremely safe driving properties under typical winter conditions, the specialist winter tire from the development department in Hanover demonstrated exemplary performance on wet roads as well. It was awarded the highest scores in the test field in both braking and handling on wet roads.
