General Tire expands camper tyre lineup

General Tire is expanding its range of camper tyres with the addition of three new 16- and 18-inch sizes of the Grabber AT3 as C-Type and one as CP-Type tyres.

The C marking on tyres indicates that the tyre has a reinforced carcass, making them particularly suitable for use on trucks, vans, motorhomes, and campers.

These specialised tyres are known for their enhanced load-bearing capacity. For instance, General Tire claims its Grabber AT3 C-Type tyre can withstand loads ranging from 975kg (load index 107) to 1,450kg (load index 121), depending on the tyre’s dimensions.

These tyres are said to be engineered to exhibit exceptional robustness, a trait that is crucial for bearing the substantial loads imposed by heavy vehicles.

The General Tire Grabber AT3 is an award-winning all-season tyre designed for use on SUVs, light commercial vehicles, and off-road vehicles. As an all-terrain tyre, the Grabber AT3 offers a combination of off-road capability and safe on-road performance in all weather conditions. It is characterised by its robust construction and aggressive design.

Notably, the Grabber AT3 has been recognised as the best all-season tyre of 2024 by the German trade magazine promobil (issue 11/24).
