Yokohama looking forward to expanding portfolio of OE fitments

The range of manufacturers selecting Yokohama tyres as OE or Original Equipment grew again in 2014 and the manufacturer is looking forward to expanding its portfolio of fitments into 2015.

One of the most notable additions was the choice by Audi to use the latest version of the ADVAN Sport V105 on three of its most rewarding drivers’ cars. Both the RS6 and the RS7 models, arguably the most extreme in the range, are fitted with the Yokohama ADVAN Sport V105 tyres, giving them exceptional grip and response for safety and performance. The TT RS model also uses the V105 to give the sports coupe the same levels of grip as its larger siblings.

The same tyre was chosen by Mercedes-Benz for several models in its range, including those in the C-Class, CLA and CLS, S-, SL- and SLK-class series. Also in the Mercedes family, the AMG high performance variants of the G63 and G65 were fitted with the ADVAN ST while the S-Class AMG version was designated with the W.drive winter tyre.

Porsche is another long-term OE partner with Yokohama and the new Panamera and Cayenne were also fitted with the V105 version of the ADVAN Sport while Lotus also chose to use Yokohama tyres on the Elise S Cup R.

A wide range of off-roaders were also fitted with tyres from Yokohama’s Geolandar range. The Chrysler Jeep Cherokee was fitted with Geolandar tyres, as were the Lexus NX, the Mitsubishi Outlander, the Nissan X-Trail, the Subaru Outback and XV, the Mazda CX-5 and the Toyota RAV4.
