The new ContiWinterContact TS 850 for mid-range vehicles was awarded the highest grade (“good”) and ranked first in a winter tyre test organised by a leading German consumer organisation, Stiftung Warentest. The ContiWinterContact TS 800 – a specialist for minis and compacts – was also given a “good” rating in the same test.

Meanwhile, the German motoring magazine AutoBild has published the first part of its major winter tyre test involving 42 models (issue 39/12).

The ContiWinterContact TS 850 in size 205/55 R 16 also took first place in this test, in which the editorial team assessed braking distances on wet and snow-covered roads. Following this initial test, 15 tire models qualified to make it through to the next round.
