Continental releases radial fitment For Triumph Thruxton
Aimed squarely at the Triumph Thruxton, Continental is set to become the first tyre manufacturer to produce a radial front and rear fitment for the bike with the introduction of the new 130/80 R17 M/C 65V TL to the ever popular ContiRoadAttack 2 range. The range already includes a 100/90 R18 56V TL front.
With its retro look and sporty credentials the Triumph Thruxton is a machine which demands the latest in tyre performance. Based on market feedback, Continental aims to provide a solution to riders of power café racer style machines who often have to rely on bias ply tyres.
The matching radial front and rear feature a number of unique Continental technologies, including a patented Zero Degree Belt design and MultiGrip Compound, which creates a dual compound style tyre from a single piece of rubber to eliminate the feeling of ‘step’ that riders often experience when transitions from the harder central compound, to the softer shoulder compound on a standard dual compound tyre.
The ContiRoadAttack 2 also features our exclusive Traction Skin technology, which virtually eliminates the need for scrubbing in and provides increased rider safety from the moment the tyre is fitted.
This addition from Continental further strengthens their classic radial range, which also saw further sizes of the ContiClassicAttack introduced for 2014. Ideal for those who want the latest in radial technology, to make the most of their classic machine.
