Top global automotive tyre suppliers revealed
German automotive specialist magazine Automobil Produktion, in cooperation with the global consultancy Roland Berger, has published its ‘Top 100 Automotive Suppliers Global Ranking 2022’.
It outlines how the 100 largest suppliers in the automotive industry performed in the 2021 financial year, with three tyre manufacturers making the top 10.
Continental is the top ranked tyre supplier in this report, finishing 6th overall with sales of $34.94 billion to automakers worldwide in 2021. This is followed by Bridgestone ($23.54b) in 8th and Michelin ($20.73b) in 10th.
Meanwhile, Goodyear is up 22 places on 2021’s report, placing 17th with sales of $17.47 billion.
Hankook Tires falls out of the top 50, placing 54th with sales of $5.42 billion.
Sumitomo Rubber Industries ($6.90b) is ranked 43rd on the list, with Yokohama Rubber ($5.01b) and Pirelli ($4.68b) placing 61st and 64th, respectively.
