Tom Cantwell RIP

It is with great sadness that I learned of the the passing of one of the great legends of the Irish tyre industry, Tom Cantwell, of TC Tyres in Kilkenny.

Tom passed away on Christmas Day peacefully, at the Beacon Hospital in Dublin. He was pre-deceased by his beloved son Enda, and was the loving husband of Bernie and much loved father of Sinéad, Donagh and Eoin.

He will be sadly missed by his wife and family, brothers Seán, Matthew and Pat, sisters Maura, Anna, Phyl and Joan, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, uncle Jimmy, nephews, nieces, extended family and his many friends.

He reposed at his home on Sunday, the 27th December. Funeral Prayers were held on Monday morning, followed by removal to St. Mary’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass. The funeral took place afterwards to Foulkstown Cemetery.
