Yokohama supplying BMW 7 Series with Advan Sport V107

Yokohama Rubber is supplying its Advan Sport V107 tyres to BMW Group as original equipment (OE) for the 7 Series.

Yokohama is supplying 255/45R20 105Y size front tyres and 285/40R20 108Y size rear tyres, or 245/50R19 105Y size front and rear tyres.

These tyres are also fitted to the BMW i7, the first battery electric vehicle (BEV) model in the 7 Series.

The Advan Sport V107 is an ultra-high performance tyre in Yokohama’s global flagship Advan brand. The supplied tyres were jointly developed with the BMW Group and feature a specially developed compound and an optimised tread pattern to achieve excellent steering stability and a quiet ride.

The tyres also have received the EU labelling system’s highest “A” grade for rolling resistance. The application of Yokohama Rubber’s mound profile technology, which evenly distributes surface contact pressure, also contributes to the achievement of the tyre’s enhanced dry performance and wear resistance.

In addition, the optimised tyre structure helps deliver the excellent steering stability that is essential for high-power premium cars. As the tyres supplied by one of the select few tyre makers for BMW models, the tyre’s sidewall bears the German automaker’s star mark indicating its recognition of Yokohama’s technology, quality, and reliability.
