Yokohama Advan Sport ZPS OE on new Toyota GR Yaris

Yokohama Rubber is supplying its Advan Sport ZPS (Zero Pressure System) tyres as original equipment (OE) to Toyota Motor Corporation for use on the automaker’s new GR Yaris. The tyre size is 225/40RF18 88Y.

The Advan Sport ZPS is based on the Advan Sport, which is the high-performance tyre in Yokohama Rubber’s global flagship tyre brand, Advan.

It is a run-flat tyre, which has reinforced sidewalls so that the tyre can support the vehicle even if it is deflated (in the zero pressure), such as due to a puncture. It offers a high level balance between maneuverability at ultra-high speed, wet performance, quietness, and comfort.

Yokohama Rubber tyres have a track record of being installed on several models in Toyota’s GR sports car brand lineup. In recent years, the Advan APEX V601 has been supplied for the GR Corolla, and the Advan Fleva V701 has been supplied for the Corolla Cross GR Sport.
